Volume 3 of the Sumo Series celebrates rookie fighter Takerufuji Mikiya and his historic victory in Osaka, Japan on March 24, 2024.

Takerufuji, after becoming the first in 110 years to win the championship in his debut in the top tier at the Spring Grand Tournament:
"I did it through sheer force of will. I didn't really know what was happening… I injured a ligament in my right ankle on Day 14. My stablemaster told me to pull out, but I knew I would regret it for the rest of my life if I did. If you ever ask me to do it again, there's no way I would be able to."
